SCSI Zip drive for Win2k
Anyone have a sure fire way to get Zip 100 Plus SCSI drive to work in Wi2k?

First off, what SCSI card are you using, and is it working properly?
Do you have any internal/external SCSI drives/devices?
The Zip drive typically works on ID5 or 6, so if any other SCSI devices are using those IDs then you need to change the zip drive to 6 or 5 (I don't thin it can use any other IDs) or you need to change the ID of the device that is using ID5 or ID6.

My Adaptec 2906 SCSI card is working fine. I have changed from 5 to 6 and back again. My Win 98 Primary partition or my Win 2k Secondary partition will not recognize zip.

What other devices do you have on the SCSI card? Internal and external.

None, and the zip drive is self terminating according to Iomega.

Have you tried the drive in paralel mode? otherwise I can't think of anything else at the moment,

Unless I'm mistaken, you have to install the Iomega software/drivers before windows will recognize the drive.

SCSI and ATAPI zip drives do not really need the Iomegaware to work in Win95+ I am not sure about 2K or NT though...

I've had problems with a SCSI external Zip (not a plus) I have a scanner hooked up on the other side of the Zip. The scanner is terminated. Big trouble with the zip termination turned off but it seems fine with it on. This leads me to believe that the term on off switch is marked backwards. Of course none of this helps since a Plus doesn't have a termination switch like a plain SCSI Zip. Maybe try an external terminator? The parallel mode idea is a good one. Have you tried it on a different computer? Is the termination on the other end set up correctly? (assuming the card)
