    Welcome to Windrivers bkzmike

the model number you give is for speakers Speakers don't need drivers, the onboard audio might though...

    What motherboard do you have?
Never, ever approach a computer saying or even thinking "I will just do this quickly."

err no, that's the CPU, the cpu sits in the motherboard.

Is this a branded machine such as a compaq, hp, gateway?

If so, what is the make and model?
If not download this and install it Click on the motherboard icon and post what it says about the make and model

Wait, your office... shouldn't you be asking your IT department? Most companies have policiies about installing hardware...

Then you are the IT department...

Have you checked the Dell download site:

    http://support.dell.com/support/down...=us&l=en&s=gen

As NooNoo has commented, most likely you need the appropriate audio drivers from Dell, if your system is using the on-board sound, not a sound card. The speakers seem to be ordinary 2.1 amplified speakers that just accept the analog sound output.

It may be that just the speaker setup needs to be checked in control panel - sounds and audio. Without the model number of the dell, it's hard to be specific.
