scanner not working with pc

someone please help.....I had a Dell pc with Windows ME...had an Acer scanner 6696-APA hooked to it and it worked fine....moved that pc to another room and hooked up an HP in here....can't get the scanner running...so i figured I needed to download a new driver...scanned your site to get some ideas...tried some...and any sites I go to don't have this model # listed...what can I do...other than throwing it out the window and starting over?...anyone answering me...please talk slooowly......i'm pc illiterate...thanks for any help[COLOR=Black]

Welcome to WD Forums Indiana.
Are you saying that this scanner now doesn't work with the "new" HP pc? How about you tell us more about this new HP pc, and, while you're at it, make sure is does still work with the old Dell. So, tell us the model number and OS of the "new" pc where the scanner doesn't work.

I believe your scanner is also known as the Prisa 620P. This should be your driver: http://www.benq.com/ss_download/driv...can_v3424p.exe

Ah, rebadged. Hey smitty, you're like the new "king" of google.
Anyway, I sure wish we new more about the "new" HP pc he/she hooked this scanner to.

I got your reply and one from Hudsonsmith...I tried the link he suggested and after some trial and error...it works!!!!...thanks for your input
