How can I get warranty service on a HP laptop purchased in Slovakia?
A customer purchased a laptop 6 weeks ago while in Slovakia. Now he is back in the U.S. As soon as he bought it, the laptop shuts down after about 20 minutes. I have ruled out everything except a bad mobo, cpu. The customer called HP and they said they don't handle the warranty in America. He must call Slovakia. He called and they only speak Slovak or Hungarian, which he doesn't speak.
Does anyone know if HP gave him wrong info and that the laptop warranty DOES cover service here in America? Or have any ideas outside of finding someone who speaks Slovak or Hungarian and setting up a three way call?
Would the U.K. branch of HP cover warranties on hardware sold in Slovakia?
