    Post compaq optical r/w drive

    -a customes has a compaq r/w drive, it is as a cd rw scsi drive but the disk is inside a cartrige, now i can read the info but i cant write anything, is it a hrdware or a sofware problem? and, how do i solve it?
    compaq part no. 184689-201
    win 95 or 98
