Red face Zip250 USB slows down Win2k Pro to a crawl, and is not recognized by OS

When i connect the USB cable the machine gets slowed down to the point where when you move the mouse it takes about 7 min. for you to see a response from the machine, also the drive is not recognized by the OS, in this case win2k pro, i have tried both win98fe, win98se, winnt workstation and the machines don't slow down but the drive still is not recognized by the OS or Iomegas software version 1.0 all the way to version 3.0...........

    any help will be appreciated

Going to need some serious info before anyone can have a clue about this

Start with your motherboard make and model and chipset, bios revision and ide controller driver version. USB irq assignment in bios and what irq in windows, etc etc
