HP 840x Vista driver?
Hello all,
I've been running Vista on a computer I recently built with my dad. Everything had been running smoothly for the better part of two months when my HP DVD 840x drive stopped working. My device manager said that the DVD writer's driver was corrupt or missing. I uninstalled it thinking I could simply download the new driver from HP's website. Unfortunately, I could not find a Vista driver for the DVD 840x. I downloaded the XP driver thinking that it might work...but everytime I go to install it, the process aborts, saying that my computer fails to meet the minimum requirements. Does anyone have any ideas as to how I might get the DVD writer working again? Is there a Vista driver out there?
Any help would be much appreciated.
