    DVD Drive misidentified

I have a DVD Recordable Drive that is being misidentified by my system as a "Memory Stick"

It's been this way for some time now, and it's very annoying.

Any help with this would be very much appreciated.

    Tom

Is this a USB drive? Some detail would be nice.

    Not USB...

It's a hardwired drive that came installed with my PC.

    Sorry

Have you tried uninstalling it in Device Manager and immediately rebooting to see if it gets recognized properly?
