maxtor shared storage backup and software
Hi. I bought a Maxtor Shared Storage II drive (network based) for our small network at home. The drive works great but the software that came with it bites! It's the Maxtor EasyManage, I can't create backups! So, has anyone ran into this problem? Seagate/Maxtor chat couldn't help me because they have seen this happen before, so I have to call it into support (argh, tried yesterday and was on hold for an hour). I was just thinking of uninstalling and buying Ghost or Acronis. Any advise? Thanks!

Microsoft backup will do it, as long as you are using XP Professional with Sp-2. Just to test it, I backed up some mp3 files over our switch to a laptop connected wirelessly upstairs. It worked fine.
