Problem with LAN connection
A friend of mine asked me to look at his PC. For some reson he can't connect to the internet. When I checked it out the LAN connection was disabled so I enabled it. I then tried to run a repair but received an error message along the lines of "The tcp/ip stack could not be queried.
When I try ipconfig /all I get an error message as well. (Sorry cant remember what it is)
The router and lan cable work fine with his laptop so we've ruled out faulty router or cable. Im not sure what else it could be apart from faulty lan port which is onboard lan.

This may or may not help use at your own risk which if it wont connect to the net isnt much of a risk
