Importing NAB into Outlook 2007
Ok, here is my current situation. We have about 500 users that exported their GroupWise contacts into a .NAB (Novell Address Book) file and now want to import that directly into Outlook 2007. Well before we Migrated away from Novell and Groupwise we told my Boss and School Administration that they would need a 3rd party tool to do that effectively. They did use the Quest Migration tool for about 100 or so mailboxes, but not for any of the teachers or secretarial staff because it costs $15 per user and they did not want to pay for everybody. I tried explaining to my boss that the NAB file can be opened in Excel and with some modification be easily exported into a CSV file for import and he said that is too much work. So now he wants me to find a free program that will do the translation of the user contacts in NAB format and I am not aware of such a thing and everything I come up searching costs money. Please help or I fear he will have me modify everyones NAB file to be imported and I really do not want to do that.

Are the modifications all the same? A quick macro might take care of it...?

this is how... gwabooktool.exe from something called Toffa... but they seem to have updated it into a chargeable product.
Perhaps someone has a copy hanging around?

Yes I saw that and some tool called GW Migrator but both are charged products. I am not sure how I would create a macro to do this as looking at the NAB file in excel there are lots of quotation marks and fields that all run together.
I came across this but the description looks like it does the opposite of what I need http://www.novell.com/coolsolutions/tools/16092.html
UPDATE: This might be what I need http://www.freeemailmigrations.com/spark.shtml
I will give it a shot and see what happens

Well it looks like that Spark tool didn't work for me . Tried it on a couple NAB exports and it gives errors. It opens outlook 2007 but nothing is added.

So are you into code? They supply the source... you could at least work out what the algorithm is trying to do.
Create a NAB entry with every single field filled in and then look at it in excel, that would tell you how the record is made up in a csv file...
