So, down under there where some of you are; what would a little piece of ocean front tsunami-resistant-if-not-proof beach-front cost? You know, somewhere to hang my kayak and loll about basking in the glory of the end-times sun.

Well I live over 300km from the nearest coast, so I'm not in touch with real estate values. But I think beach-front will be pricey...

Figure out the absolute maximum you would be willing to spend on a piece of property, then multiply that number by five. That should be a fair estimate.

I guess this would be one of the top-end locations, Hedges Avenue, Mermaid Beach on the Gold Coast:

They were saying on the telly tonight, someone has spent over 21 million dollars buying five adjacent blocks on Hedges Avenue, and is knocking down the residences to build a 70 million dollar mansion...
(Or else the whole thing was costing 70 mil, I forget which.)

A conundrum of sorts - to afford such a beach property to await the end times, the end times have to occur first so that such properties are available for free. In which case, I will also be gone along with the present owners.
So, maybe I'll just sit on my present porch with a Bud Light!
