Aureal Vortex: No Sound!
Hi Folks!
After installing from scratch Win98, everything seems to be fine: no conflicts, no wired messages and the dear yellow speaker icon is right there next to the clock, exectly where it is supposed to be.
The problem: no cound comes out at all
I got the latest drivers from the web, but this didn't help.
Any suggestion??

I'll go with the two obvious ones; single-click on the yellow speaker and make sure that slider isn't set low, and double-click on the speaker to bring up the mixer and make sure the wave output and master volume sliders aren't set low.
Also, check in the multimedia section of the control panel and make sure your sound card is the preferred device.
Hope this helps.

Actually it didn't. Those were things I have already done and now I am running out of ideas.

Next obvious,
Speakers turned on and the volume is up and they are properly connected to your sound card?
