Router Setup

Could you guys list some steps on how to setup a router for sharing internet connection? thanks a lot!

Router does all the sharing.
Connect cable/dsl modem to the wan port on the router
(Single port usually all by itself marked Wan or Internet)
Connect computers to other 4 ports called Lan
Run the cd that came with the router or
Enter the routers setup page by discovering the router's address.
Click Start Click Run Type CMD and hit enter
Then when the command window (black box) opens type in IPconfig.
It will display some information. At the bottom it will say Gateway 192.168.xxx.xxx <---it will give you the full numbers ex: 192.168.1.1
Type that in internet explorer and it will bring up the routers setup page
Usuall admin and admin are the login and password but all are different.
Need the router make and model to give you the right login and pass.
