Turion vs Intel
Could you please suggest me which one of two should I prefer?Because I would like to buy a laptop.Can I trust Turion 64x2 or Intel Core 2 duo is far better?

I would have to agree with Ferrit. The only thing I can suggest is to find two similarly configured laptops (one with Intel and one with AMD) and compare prices and features. I find in many cases the AMD lines are a bit cheaper, but some OEMs (like Dell) seem to not provide as many options with their AMD lines. Like more powerful graphic cards for instance. With the Intel Lines you can usually get a nice gaming quality card where with the AMD line it may be less powerful. Which is not a big deal unless you are a big gamer.

The Intel Core 2 duo seems better.

It's about what you want the laptop to do...once you have determined that, you then find out which hardware runs the software you want the best. If it's battery life, then which laptop has the longest battery life.
The processors are comparable. There are very few things that required a particular type of processor.
Never, ever approach a computer saying or even thinking "I will just do this quickly."
