Someone please help me!

I have a Hitachi-LG CD-RW/DVD Drive (Model # GCC-4240N). I use PowerDVD and Media Player Classic to play DVD's. I have WindowsXP Media Center Edition. I use the K-Lite Codec Mega Pack. I burn my DVD's using Roxio Easy Media Creator 10, but I also can use Nero 8 if I wanted to. The type of DVD's I am trying to play is Playo DVD+R and Kodak DVD+R. Here is the situation. I backed up my seasons of LOST 1, 2, and 3 on my buddies computer because at the time I did not have a working computer. Now that I have one I cannot play them on the drive mentioned at the beginning. I can play the retailed ones fine, but the backups won't work on my computer. They play perfectly on a dvd player, so I know it is my drive. Can someone either relate to my problem or help me fix it somehow. You would be doing a very kind act for humanity!

Try the firmware update seems people have had issues reading even burned CDs with this unit and need the latest firmware to resolve the issue.
