Opinion?
Presario 1510us (1500), LCD is very, very faint. This model has the inverter in the lid with the LCD. Would you order an inverter to try first??

It has an external VGA monitor port to check the vid chip so if that works OK the liklihood is that the inverter is bad rather than the entire LCD screen.
That's my opinion.

Test it on external monitor is necessary.

Resolved
Replaced the Inverter, and it worked until the first re-boot. Replaced the whole lid assembly and all is well. My guess would be some bad wires. Thanks for the help.
