    Resolved [RESOLVED] soyo MB lockup on DMI

    Help!!!! I hate when this happens. The added
    a nic driver & on reboot it never got passed the verifing DMI. Any Suggetions.

    When the system stops working while verifying DMI data, it means that the POST (Power OnSelf Test) found an error about the hardware. Since the problem occurs after the installation of the network card, I would definitely check this card first. Maybe on another machine.

    Go into BIOS settings and look for something to the effect of 'reset config data' ...most likely under PCI/PNP section if you have it...

    It resets the data the bios gathers about hardware..

    I may be in left field here but try putting the netcard in a different PCI slot, if that don't work....try a different nic.
