Office 2003 for windows xp download?

Hey guys,

Where would I go to download (possibly for free) Microsoft Office 2003 or similar

I deleted 2003 for my lappy as I thought i could update it, but its all gone wrong!

How would I go about getting my hands on any versions of word and excel?

If you're looking for WAREZ you're on the wrong site. There is no legitimate download of a full version of Office that I've ever been told of. However if you need a program to do word processing there are cheaper and free alternatives. Corel makes Word Perfect which is significantly cheaper than MS Office. Sun (the company who makes Java) has a free word processor you can find it here http://download.openoffice.org/2.3.1/index.html Good luck.

Niclos' suggestion about OpenOffice is a good one. It's actually an entire suite that has Writer (Word), Calc (Excel) and Impress (PowerPoint) as well as Draw and Base. It allows you to save things in a number of formats also. Great software.

Open office is pretty decent.
UNLESS you need to interact with people that use Microsoft Office
Such as converting documents and such.
Its all supposed to be compatible,but i can tell you it is not.
I have a number of home school clients who work from home and some have tried using open office and exchanging work with their
online teachers and some have suffered corruption in the conversion process.
It can work but if you information is critical stick to Microsoft Office

I second that. Word documents with tables will most likely be screwed in OO. Same happens for Excel stuff. If you're using any macros... forget about it.

Office cannot open the OO documents AFAIK. OO to OO is fine. OO documents saved as MSO documents open fine in MSO. MSO documents don't always work in OO.
