Who likes XP Registry structures!?!?!
I hope someone does I did a change of keys temporarily to remove a spyware and accidentally ran my ccleaner before I returned them to their appropriate names. Now I'm out the strings for webcheck.dll (Not the worm webcheck.exe) so can anyone assist on what ones I need to manually re-enter to winxp pro?

Good question... umm we'll go with I'm not sure what you're talking about so I guess I'm about to learn something new that or what an abbreviation means.

sfc, AKA System File Checker, is one of the least utilized, but most effective Windows repair tools. You need the installation disk in a drive to run it because sfc will use the disk to replace damaged or missing system files. It can fix an amazing range of weird system problems. But, in this instance, I think I'd try System Restore.

Ah yeah all failed :-P now I'm at the restore point. Ssadly I started the reinstallation 5 minutes before my buddy mailed me the backed up keys on his computer for the webcheck.dll entries.

Thanks for the tip, seems whatever keys were lost also affected the repair you mentioned as I tried that last night. I kept getting issues with IE just freezing and SP2 not installing correctly.

Is Norton on that machine?
Never, ever approach a computer saying or even thinking "I will just do this quickly."

No just NOD32 my problem is that I just was screwed from my registry disaster. It's all over with now I did a reinstall. :-P Now I'll just reinstall all my primary software and make an image. I should've known better but I was too lazy.
