    Showing Less memory that Installed

    My system had 4 sticks of DDR 2 Memoy in it (1GB each) WIndows only shows the system as have 3 GB.

    Can anyone tell why this is where is the other 1 GB

    side note.. Vista's SP1 will make windows show the full ram, it still won't use it, but you can still brag about 4 gigs

    It may also have to do with a bios update depending on the machine.
    But basically it's a Limitation of 32 bit windows that ot cannot use more then 3.2 or somesuch
