Windows XP FastLynx USB 2.0 bridge cable problem - usbbc2.sys is needed
I just purchased FastLynx USB 2.0 bridge cable
on windows XP and it turned out .... the FastLynx software can not detect
the USB cable. I followed the instructions on
http://sewelldirect.com/support/usbsupport.aspx, trying
to install the USB cable driver by using
"Hardware Update Wizard". The system gave me the following message:
"The file 'usbbc2.sys' on High Speed Usb-Usb Bridge Cable
Installation Disk is needed". I do not have this file on my
installation disk. Could somebody help me to resolve this problem ?
Where can I get this file ?
I would really appreciate your help.
Thank you,
John

Welcome to Windrivers saat.sepi
It may be that it is on the cd, but in a compressed format.
Did you install the CD first before plugging in the cable?
Is your pc usb2.0 capable?
Is your windows completely up to date including sp2?
Never, ever approach a computer saying or even thinking "I will just do this quickly."

It does not look like the file is on cd in a compressed format.
I tried to google the file but could not find it. I do not even know
what this file is or why it is needed ...
Yes, I did installed the software and my PC is usb2.0 capable
IBM T43 . Yes I got XP SP2.
Thanks,
John

The file is a driver, a driver tells windows what to do with a particular device.
Did you install the software before plugging in the cable?
Which version fastlynx are you using? Did you try the next set of instructions?

Thanks for your response. Yes I installed the software before plugging
in the cable. I got fastlynx 3.3. I tried to follow the instructions on
http://sewelldirect.com/support/usbsupport.aspx
but this did not help. I am not even sure what my options are now.
Anything I tried failed.
Thanks,
John

Have you clicked on their online support link? They have chat operatives.
However, I still think that the file is on the cd, but you may not be able to see it because of not allowing system and hidden files. I do not have that file on my machine, so it's not native to windows.
Since you have just bought the item, you can expect free support using their chat.

Picture yourself near a stream.
Birds are singing in the crisp, cool mountain air.
Nothing can bother you here. No one knows this secret place.
You are in total seclusion from that place called the world. The soothing sound of a gentle waterfall fills the air with a cascade of serenity. The water is clear.
You can easily make out the face of the person whose head you're holding under the water.
There now, feeling better?
