Data migration Backup utilities?
What do you guys/gals use to backup user info (desktop, favorites, settings, network places, printers, even outlook data and setting.. etc) when upgrading and migrating the data back over? Any suggestion instead of doing it manually?

Any file copy utility will do. But best approach is to have roaming profiles if possible, makes swapping machines a 5-min job.

Files and Settings Transfer wizard... just don't destroy the old profile before creating the new one.
Never, ever approach a computer saying or even thinking "I will just do this quickly."

I Like easy backit since itis free and has scheduling. It also backs up files native and not compressed so you can see what has been backed up.
It's not the computers that keep having problems, it's the users!!

I still like Intellimover. If you are moving to a Vista machine, you have to do some manual intervention to copy Outlook Express files to Windows Mail, but it isn't difficult. Personally, I don't find Windows Easy Transfer (included with Vista) to be very easy. And it's slow.

I'm with NooNoo, I use Files & Settings Transfer Wizard.
A few key things to remember.
1. Make sure the destination PC is at the same Service pack level (at the very least) I have had problems in the past with this.
2. I always get selective with what I migrate esp. fi the machine is slow and crappy anyway.
