    Boot halts autodecting USB drives

    XP Professional SP-2.
    System halts during auto detect of attached USB drives.
    Belkin FSU-237 - 7 port USB hub.
    Hard drives - 1 Maxtor - 3 Seagate.
    DVD RW - LG GSA-E10L.

    System halts after detecting attached hard drives - HUB Not connected - Boots fine - Windows sees all attached hardware.
    MotherBoard - ASUS - P5GC-MX/1333

    Turn off Boot Other Devices in the bios would be 1 possibility
    Another might be USB booting (disabled) also in the bios
    Gigabyte 990FXA-UD3
    AMD FX 8350 4ghz OCTO-Core
    Windows 8.1 PRO 64
    Adata 256 gig SSD
    Kingston HyperX 1600 16 Gigs
    Sapphire R9 280 2gig
