I will do a research on my cpu and let you know what I find. I also was wondering if a geforce 8600 would work good on my system for these games.

OK I found a AMD ATHLON 64 X2 5600+ CPU Socket AM2 Dual Core would this Work?

Here is what you do:

You Google Compaq

You then search THEIR site for the Presario 061

You research the max cpu allowed with the latest Bios

Then you realize that is/was an entry level mobo with limited upgrade support and then read this thread:

Then ask about 'what is needed if I use this mobo?'.

I finally found a bios update. Just updated from 3.0 to 3.10

Alot of people I see have a A8M2N-LA nodus m3 I just have a A8M2N-LA nodus m I don't know if that makes a differance.
