Script that only installs necessary MS updates
So here at work, once imaging is completed WSUS downloads the necessary company approved updates and installs them, but depending on bandwidth and time of day, this may take quite awhile.
The techs receive a list of approved updates a few days before they're released so I know what it is we need to update, but as updated images come out, certain updates are already included.
So I'm trying to create a script that will only install the necessary updates from a local folder.
I want to get this working as we can't hand over a machine to an employee until all initial updates are downloaded and installed. So instead of me waiting for this to happen, I can do this myself and get the laptop out to the employee in a matter of minutes after imaging is complete.
Shoot 'em up! Shoot 'em up! Pow! Pow!
