We need a bit more information: what make and model?
Are you comfortable opening the computer up and working inside? If so, I would suggest unplugging the grey ribbon cable that connects the cdrom or dvdrom to the motherboard while the machine is unplugged from ac power. Then, try turning it on and hitting F11 on boot and choosing hard drive as the boot device. If you are uncomfortable inside, take it to a pro. Tip him or her well, and refrain from looking over anyone's shoulder.

its samsaung SyncMasters 750s, and the gray cable is connected from my drive to my cdrom. Now its connected just to the drive, and its not working. I also have 2 drives but one of them is currently not connected.

It sounds like you unplugged a drive and the system isnt happy you did.
You need to enter bios to re detect the drives and be sure it detects whats actually there.
And by the way a "samsaung SyncMasters 750s" is not a computer.
It is a monitor.
Did you unplug the drive? thats not working now.

ok i hav fixed the sec master hdd error, but now i got an new error...it says,
Windows could not start because the following file is missing
or corruupt:
System32\DRIVERS\pci.sys
You can attempt to repair this file by starting Windows Setup
using the original Setup CD-ROM.
Select 'r' at the first screen to start repair
this happens right before windows load and its after the bios page.
