Hello, abhinash! Nvidia says that their 64 bit Vista driver 175.19 supports your video card.

thanks for the link, and i've already downloaded this driver, but its not working.
i mean i cant play a simple .avi file on my windows media player.
    maybe the settings are wrong.
can you help me configuring my media player, please?
its a windows media player 11.

sounds like you need a codec. Some AVI files are in DivX format or XVID format and will not play without the proper codecs.

Download the divx code from www.divx.com and see if that helps.
At the source of every error which is blamed on the computer, you will find at least two human errors, including the error of blaming it on the computer.

Because a video file does not play.
That doesn't mean it has anything to do with the video card.
    What avi file is this?
    Where did you get it?

    hi ferrit.

but its an ordinary .avi file, desperate housewives which i downloaded earlier on and which plays well on that same video card, but on my second system windows vista 32 bit.

    hi all.
    thanks for your help.
i managed to get my media player running on my vista 64bit system,
by just removing my video card and plugging it back again.
it works just fine, plays my .avi file
no need to download drivers for it, the system already has it.
    thanks again
