Dell Dimension 3800
Got a box here that had video probs. Replaced the card and changed the bios settings, so there is video. Tried a repair install that upon reboot just hangs at a blank screen. Reboot gives me a XP splash screen then a screen telling me that 'Setup is restarting...'
then a blank screen. No cursor, nothing.
Anybody have any suggestions? I've yanked all of the other cards and cd roms, nothing but the vid card and the hard drive...

Have you run any sort of Hardware diagnostics on the machine? Did you add in a video card because the onboard was not working? I am not familiar with that model but it sounds like it would have onboard video. The reason I ask is because if it was the onboard video maybe there is more wrong with the motherboard than just the video. Just speculating of course. Dell's diagnostic programs are free and usually on the Driver CD or can be downloaded from Dell.com.
