    owa cannot be accessed from a different domain

    Hi any advise on how to enable access of OWA from a different domain but same forest i'm using Exchange2000 i've enabled DNS to resolved these 2 domains but however when i try to access OWA from the other domain i get DNS cannot resolved error, 've found a workaround to append the dns suffix but is looking for something i dun need to configure on the client's end.

    As I understand it, OWA stands for Outlook Web Access, and as long as a computer can hit the internet, it should be able to access any open site. Am I mis-understanding the question?

    Yup but the strange thing is when i use a machine from a different domain within the same forest it cannot access OWA both domain are trusted and dns can resolved the exchange server successfully

    are you accessing owa via a fqdn or ip address?
    Never, ever approach a computer saying or even thinking "I will just do this quickly."

    accessing via FQDN but both domain are in the same subnet and both domain are trusted

    Have you tried via IP?

    It sounds like a port is not open somewhere....
    Never, ever approach a computer saying or even thinking "I will just do this quickly."
