    My Current Anti-Virus solution

Well....Fiddled with some protection solution for the PC's I deal with, Right now according to this tabe :
    http://www.virusbtn.com/news/2008/09_02

Decided to protect PC's with Avira free antivir + Superantispyware.

If firewall is needed I tend to use Online armor, Since it's free, And doesn't bother too much. Although Except NIS I didn't find a no-brainer firewall....

The avira antivir became ANNOYING. Each day it opens a page that recommends to buy their full version. Replaced it with avast.....

I use Avira Antivirri personal on all my winblows machines.

And pctools firewall for the firewall.

easy to use, and easy to setup.

Comodo is the best firewall and it's free.

Well...The pctools FW didn't install well on a system I tried it with.
The comodo is good FW but asks too many questions. From my experience I liked ZONEALARM PRO and NIS 2008 firewall, Which are "smart" and barely asks questions (Especially the NIS 2008).

Had this client few days ago which had kaspersky AV installed on his computer which worked quite slow. Replaced it to avast with superantispyware, Which froze his computer on startup,Then Replaced it to Avira AV, Which found backdoor.agent trojan or something like that, And it couldn't be removed. Installed NIS 2009, Which notified an error after installation was finished......At last only NIS 2008 after an liveupdate managed to remove the trojan and keep system protected.....Simply unbelieveable....

Which trojan? Since all AV is reactive, if a new one has come along, then until the update is available for it, you are going to have this problem. It may simply be that by the time you got around to NIS2008 and updated it, they had written the fix into the update.

Avast and Comodo here, no complaints about either. Was always a big fan of AVG until their latest bloatware release.

I tried vipre also but now that I have decided I don't like it that much there is no uninstaller to remove it anywhere. I did get it removed with ccleaner however.

I installed Vipre on all my machines i like the home user licence which allows installing on all my machines at home. It doesnt seem to slow the computer down at all and seems to run trouble free.
