No sound realtek or saoundmax?
i deleted soundmax accidently and ive been working on getting a sound system back 4 days, but it keeps saying i need realtek, but i have home edition and it keeps reminding me again that it isnt compatible, so ive been tearing my hair out

Disable the device in Hardware management.
Restart the computer and then re-enable the device and see if it prompts you to install drivers, and see if it will happily connect to the interwebz to find the needed driver..
Also do you have a cd that came with the computer? It should have various drivers for the motherboard...
