Hi Raoul.
he-he-he, my first answer was most confus-ed ! , as I thought you were talking about a Toshiba laptop .. so I'll rephrase it, just what model pc are talking about ? (particularly we'd want details of the soundcard, but you mayn't know about that, so a tool like this Everest Home can be helpful)

Aaah a nice easy one
click here to open SIS downloads page (is a bit slow so be patient). click on Audio Driver, Click on SIS 7012, click on xp, click go and agree then download the file. It will probably need to be extracted first, then click the setup file to install it.

Setup is supposed to install it, but it can get confused... from device manager uninstall or remove any unknown devices or any devices with a ! including the multimedia audio controller and then close device manager then immediately run the setup again. When it's complete, restart the computer if the audio setup does not ask you to. When it restarts it may find a few other devices... just let it get on with it. Open device manager and watch it install.

Haven't got what disk and what doesn't allow you? You need to say exactly what happens when you install the driver.

Did you just right click on the link I posted and saved as? If so, that's why you got a document. You have to click the link and then click the download link which will download a file called audio.zip.
If you built this yourself, how did you load Windows without a CD?
