    co website will not view

    Hello

I'ts been awhile for me here.

I just reinstalled my server 2003 standard edition r2.

It is running dhcp and is a dns server on a single domain.

All seems fine using the wizards but I have an issue in that if I try to view the exernal website of the company from any PC inside the company office (on the domain) say www.anypage.org, I get a page not found.

I believe I need to make an adjustment in my forward or reverse zone but I can't seem find the solution.

Help would be appreciated ( in real simple terms please)

    Regards Chris

Can you access any websites outside your company network?
    Do you use a proxy?
Can you access your intranet sites?
There's no panic like the panic you momentarily feel when you've got
your hand or head stuck in something

    Thanks for answering

Yes I can see the website from outside of the company network (domain).

I'm not sure what you mean by a proxy sorry?

I have no intranet sites set up so can't tell.

    Thank you

    Chris

Is the company internet site hosted on a server within the company or on a webhost outside the company?

Is the domain name of the site the same as the server domain?

****I'd say no. Server is mycompany.local and website is mycompany.org.

I can ping it internally both by its ip address and server name?
