HP laserjet 1020 test page
I have a client who has a HP laserjet 1020 that keeps printing out pages of the test page. Even turning off the printer did not work. In addition, removing the printer and reinstalling did not work as well. What could be the cause of the this problem? A virus?

you mean the internal test page of the printer? or the windows test page?
Don't know if that model has buttons (I know 1022 has) but maybe a stuck button if it's the internal test page?

I would more suspect spyware but both are likely .
Download and use Malwarebytes+Spybot since they are both free.
Update and scan.
By the way what windows version?
What antivirus are they using?

Stop the printer spool service, manually clear the spool folder system32\spool\printers then reboot.
