Dell D600 Laptop Crashes when on battery
Hi All!
I have a dell latitude D600 that is freshly formated and has WinXP Pro on it. It works perfectly as long as the power cord is plugged in. If I pull it out, it give me the dreaded BSOD. It halts on booting with BSOD if I try to boot with the battery only. Battery is good. Checked everything I could think of in the CMOS. Looks OK.
Any clues?

Get the service tag and go to Dell.com and check for updates for battery or bios or dell utilities.

We had a plethora of bad video drivers with the new Dell® D630's, both the ruggedized version and the normal one. Installed the correct version, and all is well.
