Check in the router configuration, is it picking up the ip address from the cable modem ok? Did you disable dhcp as a permanent thing or just for troubleshooting?

I would re-enable the DHCP on the router, your windows configuration is set to use DHCP, so turning it off can cause more problems. Secondly, i would power cycle the router, that will sometimes clear up the DNS issue. Finally, baring all that, Windows gives you the option to manually assign DNS but leave the IP set to DHCP. Log into the router and obtain the IP address of the ISP's DNS server and assign that manually in your windows configuration

So your router is set as the gateway and Primary DNS Server : 68.87.x.x
Secondary DNS Server : 68.87.x.x are at the router, so your client pcs should be picking up these settings via dhcp.

What does ipconfig /all look like now?

Looks good... so maybe you have a winsock problem... have a read here reset winsock - it does no harm to reset and reset tcp/ip if it doesn't work after a reboot.

Then you have a firewall blocking the port or a net nasty...

What happens if you put the dns server addresses in the tcp/ip property page on the client?
