    sound card settings keep changing

I have a user whose dell laptop sound card settings keep changing. What could be the cause of this? There is no virus on it..or spam..
What else could be the cause?

I don't think so, I will check with her. It changes from laptop settings to a desktop format. when it does that, no sound is heard until I change it back.

Quite possibly, it has to reroute the sound, is she not capable of changing it back?

The you will have to write a script or tell her she will have to use headphones permanently. If she can't select between two sound outputs, I wonder if she just needs an ipod...

    Perhaps USB headphones would work.

No I meant a script which runs from a shortcut to change the speakers...

But if she is that bad, why does she need one?
