    "Cutting" and "joining" mp3s

    Can you please suggest me a programm that is able to cut pieces of mp3s?

    For example I have one audio interview and I want to do montage in it.Remove some pieces from it and have it as one mp3 once again but without some minutes.

    However I tried it on linux mint and I have problems with the sound.

    I know it works a treat on Windows... linux is not my forte so I can't help.
