One to add to the tool box!

Nice find.
I found Blacklight doesn't work in safemode.
I have a root kit program from AVG which is no longer available.
It is windows based and helped me identify one,
which came in through Limewire.

Curious how does one get the activation key for the free avira? For being so free to have why do I have to either pay them 19 bucks for the program OR I have to pay for some crap subscription. The only reason I'm mentioning this is it would be handy to use the command line scanner once in a while and it requires the key.
One Script to rule them all.
One Script to find them.
One Script to bring them all,
and clean up after itself.

Hi,
I don't understand. I have never had any problem getting a key for the free Avira Antivir software - just follow the instructions. I often use it on older systems and VMs where the footprint of one of the big suites would crush the OS.
That said, I don't think the command line scanner is a freeware offering: http://www.free-av.com/en/download/index.html At least it is not listed here.
I also like Avast: http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.html
