2003 Server Issue

I have a windows XP workstation logging on to a 2003 server/domain. When the machine boots up and you double click on a mapped drive to the server I get an error. "An error occurred while reconnecting p \\server name\folder Microsoft windows network the local device name is already in use. This connection has not been restored"

I also have connection issue using the IP address of the server

When I go to the run command and enter \\servername\folder name I get the massage "The system detected a possible attempt compromise security. Please ensure that you can contact the server that authenticated you"

When I browse to the server through the network I am able to open the folder. Once I open the folder the mapped drives work and the run command with the path works

Any ideas??? Would love to hear from some techs

How did you map the drive? Is this all just with one user or are you trying to apply this to all local users with that station? Are you using a script file to all connect everyone?

How many connection licences do you have and how many machines trying to connect?
Have you removed the map and remade it?
