    VC-VIP - VMware Infrastructure 3

Seems like a dead area, but I will post and see what happens.

Just got my VC-VIP - VMware Infrastructure 3! Wasn't planning on it when I went to the class, but the instructor told us that he could proctor for that certification exam and if anyone wanted to try it. The class was "Installation, Management and Use of VMWare 3.5". The company also has a class "VMWare ESX Server I3 Advanced" which I hope to take in July.

Does anyone else have this cert? Like I said I had never heard of it before this class, and what I really want is my VCP but figure this would really help prepare me for that down the road.

    So far I have,
    A+
    Security+ 2008
    VIP VMware I3

Taking my Net+ later this week, then MCSE in Aug.

Never, ever approach a computer saying or even thinking "I will just do this quickly."

Thanks NooNoo, but I have definitely been to the site before and read it up and down. I was just looking for anyone else that had the certification and if companies pay attention to it.

All of these certifications that I have now and am working towards I have acquired in the last 6 months. My current unit is a very high level command with a lot of money and time to send me all over the place for classes and testing. Needless to say I am taking FULL advantage of my short time here.

I’m a VCP and thought the exam was pretty tough. I’ve taken many exams over my career but the VIP from the Virtualization Council for VMware, really showed what I was lacking. It’s definately based on the real world and not a text book. The VIP is a good exam focused for the VMware engineers who want to really test his or her skills. Anyways barely passed, but glad I got the exam out of the way.
