    Question Excel 2003 startup issue

    I have a user that when she opens Excel to create a workbook, three workbooks open automatically. CATALOG.CAT, LOP_OPT, and UNTITLED.CAT. You can close them out and begin a new workbook just as normal. I tried a repair install to no change so I am thinking it has to be a setting somewhere but I'm at a loss. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    That's the normal template... you delete it and restart excel... it should go away. Have a search for .xlt
