I have the joy of installing the OS on this laptop which has no CD player or floppy. It has a new hard drive where as the old HDD had the preinstall on it. Apparently the old HDD crashed and nothing was recoverable. My question is do I need to make an external USB Hdd bootable with a copy of XP Pro cd on the HDD in order to boot to it to install the OS on the new HDD? If so what do I use, the HP bootable utility? Sorry if this has been covered before.
It's not the computers that keep having problems, it's the users!!
