MSI 815E Pro: 4-channel sound? How?
I have a MSI 815E Pro mobo (MS6337), it uses a AC97 software sound device (Itel 815 chipset ICH2 onboard), it comes with a Sigmatel codec driver. It all works ok, but I want to be able to use the line-in as the 3rd & 4th channels for a second set of speakers (according to Intel and MSI this can be supported), but it looks like the drivers I have dont support it. MSI wont reply to my emails. The Sigmatel website mentions they supply various codecs to OEMs and the basic one only supports 2 channels (which is probably what MSI supplied with the board).
I was wondering if there is a way to make the 4-channel thing work with the current drivers, or if maybe there are some other drivers that would work, and if so where can I get them?
Thanks
