Laptop Charges From AC-Adapter but wont boot while plugged in
I have a Dell Inspiron E1705.
I will boot from the charged battery but will not boot if the AC adaptor is plugged in. The AC adaptor will charge the battery fully but needs to be disconnected before the PC will boot. Is this a motherboard issue or something?

Hello:
2 possibilities - bad dc jack (bad connection internally) or failing adapter (enough currect flow to charge but NOT to boot).
Can you access another adapter to try?
