Brand New Battery Won't Charge Anymore - Why!?
Hi, guys! I got a brand new battery 3 weeks ago for my 4 year old gateway laptop. The battery worked fine initially. But for 2 days, it doesn't charge fully anymore, no matter what I do. It's lost 90% of its charging power. When I use the battery, I only get 15 minutes worth of juice. I tried recalibrating it, but it doesn't do the trick. What do I do about this?

Going around a bit I bought a laptop from Dell and in my selection they
suggested I upgrade my BATTERY to a better battery.
With that said, You probably bought a low quality Battery.
Last thing I remember, running for the door,
I had to find the passage back to the place
I was before.

xpuser, you're probably right. Actually, I bought this battery for $10 on ebay from BestBuy. I thought I was getting quality.

$10 for a battery = very low quality, even if it was from "BestBuy". Low end ones go $40-$50 normally for most laptops.
But also - your laptop is years old and I doubt Gateway still makes them so you're either getting old batteries now or third party batteries.
