Another SIS 7012 sound driver problem

I have read many SIS sound driver problems in this forum, and unfortunately none came up with a solution that works on this system.

I completed a format of this computer yesterday and it came up with multimedia audio controller software missing. I have tried to install several of the available SIS 7012 drivers to no avail, each one comes up with an error during installation. The error simply has a window that says UpdateDriverForPlugAnd PlayDevices -536870397, I close this error and it says driver was not installed. I also tried a different version of this driver and it then comes up with an error (10) saying this device is not installed or working. I have also tried the AC97 drivers that several people have suggested, this driver does install ok, but the sound does not work at all, nor microphones.

Can anyone please help with this? Everest information below:

Thanks CCT atleast it worked with my computer. I was tired of trying different driver but none worked.
I formated my computer but sound driver was not installed and would halt at 94 %. My motherboard is SiS 962 Lua. I downloaded from Sis site 7012 but it says update driver for plug & play devices. But this time your link worked. Thanks man

Same maker, different version of a basic chipset - nice the other driver worked also though.
