Not too likely it is the Bios.
Cable or device, imho.

I have applied the hotfix from the microsoft website and no luck.

I HATE to lose against hardware and software - BUT, I GIVE!
If that thing wouldn't install nice on another computer using XP with XP drivers from the maker, then shoot it!

CCT got mad... He says that the device just doesn't want to work. Perhaps the device is screwed...
