Vista shows Access Denied
Windows XP
Windows Vista
Asus M4AA785TD-M MB
4 GB Ram
AMD Phenom II X3 2.8
Maxtor 160 GB HD
I have Windows Vista on an E: Partition, and Windows XP on a C: Partition. I also have Partitions D, F & G.
Windows XP can see all partitions & all files / folders within.
Windows Vista can also see all partitions, and with exception to the C: Partition can also see all files & folders within.
My issue is that frm within Vista, I get an 'Access Denied' message whenever I try & view the C: Partition. Vista also cannot see the Partition size or volume used.
Any thoughts please.

Try the procedure detailed here; http://in.answers.yahoo.com/question...7112718AAYicqW
btw: afaik you can use that for the whole partition (C:/) like you would a folder, since it is basically a folder

Thanks for this. The second part of the above url appeared to work. Vista can now see the C: partition & the viles within.
